		<description>We were at the VALA conference in November 1993 and in Tony Barry&#039;s presentation he put a URL up on the screen. We&#039;d never seen one before, but I wrote it down and when we got back we had to figure how to look at it.  

In April 1994 we put up a library web page. I was with Ian Douglas, our then systems librarian, when we FTPd the file across to the web server. We were so excited when it worked.</description>
